Longwood Gardens (Kennett Square, PA)
Longwood Gardens is a renowned attraction that consists of more than 1,100 acres of gardens, woodlands, and meadows in the Brandywine Creek Valley in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania (known as the "Mushroom Capital of the World"). This is a great place to take a nature walk and enjoy the beautiful Delco surroundings. It has quickly become a Weyneth Christmas tradition.
U.S.S. New Jersey (Camden, NJ)
USS New Jersey (BB-62) is an Iowa-class battleship, and was the second ship of the United States Navy to be named after the state of New Jersey. She was often referred to fondly as "Big J". This is special to us as Ashley's uncle Denny served on this ship during the Vietnam War.
Westtown Amish Market (West Chester, PA)
This is a really cool spot with an amazing family restaurant, bakery, old school country store, and pet shop all wrapped into one. This where we prefer to shop local and fresh. This location is only open Thursday through Saturday so be sure to check it out if you arrive early.
Reading Terminal Market (Center City Philadelphia, PA)
Famous indoor farmer's market offering diverse fare, housewares & area specialties since 1893. There is something for everyone in this indoor market, but note that this can get crowded as the day goes on. Perfect spot to try a world famous cheesesteak or Philly Pretzel. This is also located less than a mile from the historic Liberty Bell making for both a fun and educational morning/afternoon.
Philadelphia Phillies (South Philadelphia Sports Complex, Philadelphia, PA)
The Phillies host the Atlanta Braves starting Thursday, August 28th and concluding Sunday afternoon. Check out Bryce Harper and Kyle from Waltham in the beautiful Citizens Bank Ballpark.
Sesame Street Place (Langhorne, PA)
Sesame Place Philadelphia is a children's theme park and water park based on the children's educational television program Sesame Street. This is a great option for those with young children, located about 45 minutes from Media, PA.
Downtown Media (Media, PA)
Take a stroll down State Street to see local shops, restaurants and a fun children's arcade. Try ice cream at Scooped or a gelati at Rita's Italian Ice and Frozen Custard. For history buffs the Media Veteran's Museum is a free exposition worth checking out at a former Armory. Be sure to check the operating hours as they are limited at times.

West Chester is the perfect place to spend the day sightseeing and shopping. Browse through over 50 boutiques carrying items you won't find elsewhere! There are over 100 restaurants and bars in the area known as one of the best college towns in America. We recommend Hop Fidelity for inviting tunes and cold beer in a cozy record shop owned by a fellow New Englander.
