Why did we choose Kings Mills?
Kings Mills is a historic grist mill and iron foundry which was utilized by George Washington himself prior to the Battles of Brandywine and Valley Forge. It also served as the area's church and town hall. Later, it was turned into a textile mill where some of the earliest costumes for Walt Disney World were produced, including one of the earliest known costumes of Mickey Mouse. On August 30th it will begin a new chapter, serving as the backdrop showcasing Ashley & Barrett's eternal love.
How soon should I RSVP?
We ask that you RSVP as soon as possible, but please by July 15th.
When should I reserve a hotel room?
We ask that you reserve as soon as your travel plans have been decided, but please by July 30th. Visit the "Hotels" tab for our wedding guest blocks. We recommend using these provided hotels for proximity to wedding events, central location, and nearby amenities.
What should I wear to the wedding?
We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a cocktail length dress, dressy separates, or suit (tie optional). Ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting, so light fabric is recommended.
Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?
Yes, there is ample parking with parking attendants at the Kings Mills venue. The ceremony is located about 15 minutes (8 miles) from the blocked hotels.
Want to stay up to date?
We are planning an “unplugged” ceremony but would like to keep everyone up to speed on all wedding events leading up to our special day. We have created a WhatsApp community “Weyneth Wedding 2025” and encourage all questions, insights and collaboration to be directed to this group so that we can celebrate and countdown together!
